2009chevrolet-camaroGeneral Motors launches production of the much anticipated Chevrolet Camaro.  Introduced as a concept car at the Detroit Auto Show in 2007, pre-ordered production models should begin arriving at dealerships this Spring.  A spokeswoman showing the model at the 2009 Atlanta International Auto Show told me on Sunday that customers should be able shope dealer stock by this Summer.  She also said pricing should start around $23,000 for the base Camaro and $31,000 for the SS edition.

With a design that is very close to the original concept, the 2010 Camaro acknowledges its heritage from the first-generation Camaro, produced from 1967 through 1969. The two-door sports coupe features classic proportions over a 112.3-inch (2,852 mm) wheelbase. The overall length of the Camaro is 190.4 inches (4,836 mm); width and height are 75.5 inches (1,918 mm) and 54.2 inches (1,376 mm), respectively.
